Sources close to the officers investigating the May 13 attack on a bus in Karachi which left 47 Ismailis dead say that they have also detained a woman on suspicion of being part of the gang which took part in the incident., ARY News reports.
They said that the gang comprises around 25 members and also has women as members. They said one of them had been arrested from Kausar Niazi Colony in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area.
According to the information gleaned from the arrested terror suspects by the security agencies, Tahir Hussain Minhas (using the alias ‘Saeen’) was the ringleader and after carrying out attacks, the gang members would go in hiding in Hyderabad, where Saeen was based. According to a recent press conference by the Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, ‘Saeen’ is also under detention, and he is said to have been involved in terror activities since 1998. Police have also said that he was involved in the 2007 murder of a local Hindu and that he has been a member of banned group Harkatul Mujahideen.
