Pakistan successfully test fires Ghauri Ballistic Missile

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan on Wednesday successfully test fire long range Ghauri Ballistic Missile capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear warheads upto a distance of 1300 kms, ARY News has learnt.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the launch was conducted by a Strategic Missile Group of the Army Strategic Command that was aimed at testing the operational and tactical readiness of Army Strategic Force Command.

The launch was witnessed by senior officers from Strategic Plans Division, strategic forces,scientists and engineers of strategic organisations.

Director General Strategic Plans Division, Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat has congratulated the scientists, engineers and all ranks of Strategic forces.

Lt Gen Hayat has expressed his full satisfaction over the excellent standard achieved by Strategic Forces during training which was duly reflected by proficient handling of the weapon system in the field and fulfillment of laid down operational and technical objectives.

He emphasised that Pakistan can be justifiably proud of its defence capability and the capability of its nuclear deterrence.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif  has warmly appreciated the successful launch of Ghauri Missile System.
