KARACHI: Deputy Inspector General of Crime Investigation Agency Dr. Jameel Ahmed said that the conditions of the roads in Karachi have to be improved in order to reduce street crimes in the city, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

The DIG made the statement while talking to media persons in CIA office.

The CIA chief blamed the conditions of roads and absence of streetlights in the city for the rising graphs of street crimes. He said that the dilapidated roads also cause traffic jams in the provincial capital.

“The criminals take full advantage of the situation and deny the citizens of their valuables.

The Criminal Investigation Agency top official linked the street crimes in the city with the municipal problems faced by the metropolis.

It is pertinent to mention here that bad roads, traffic jams, and lack of street lights apart of creating problems for the city dwellers, also facilitate the anti-social elements to commit crimes.
