KARACHI: A Fire broke out in a fruit godown near Rainbow Centre in Saddar area of Karachi on Monday, ARY News reported.
Two fire tenders have been engaged in firefighting. The firefighting operation could not be started timely due to narrow alleys to reach on the spot.
According to ARY News reporter, the inhabitants of the area pelted stones at fire brigade workers for delay in the firefighting effort.
Initially, the fire brigade officials have declared it as third degree fire.
The shops dealing in firecracker are also reportedly situated near the spot.
Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident by directing commissioner and deputy commissioner to supervise the ongoing rescue operation.
