LAHORE: An alleged terrorist killed while two of his accomplices arrested in an encounter with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel in Lahore’s industrial area in early hours of Saturday morning, ARY News reported.
It was a joint raid by CTD and Intelligence agencies during which two personnel also sustained injuries, however, the hospital sources confirmed that their condition was stable and out of danger.
Three suicide jackets were also recovered from the house where the militants were staying, security officials said, adding, recovered suicide vests were disposed.
The security officials also claimed that the terrorists were allegedly planning a terror attack in Lahore during religious festival of Easter.
Separately, a gangster killed in an encounter with police in old city area of Karachi’s Lyari. Police officials have claimed to recover a weapon and a hand grenade from the possession of the slain gangster identified as Ghulam Nabi alias Billa.
Moreover, three NADRA employees were taken into custody by police for issuing national identity cards (CNICs) to foreign nationals in SITE area of the city.
